TechAeros ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, username, email address, and password (stored as a hashed value — we never store your plain-text password).
  • Profile information: bio, avatar image, social media links, and optionally your linked Roblox username.
  • Transaction data: order history, products purchased, purchase amounts, and payment confirmation identifiers. We do not store full credit card or bank account details — payments are handled by PayPal.
  • Seller data: store name, product listings, payout information.
  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken on the Platform, and browser/device information collected automatically via server logs.
  • Roblox data: if you link your Roblox account, we store your Roblox user ID, username, and a cached avatar image. A record of link and unlink events is kept permanently for security.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process purchases and facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
  • Display your public profile and store pages
  • Send transactional notifications (e.g. purchase confirmations)
  • Detect and prevent fraud and policy violations
  • Improve and maintain the Platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not serve advertisements.

4. Cookies & Authentication

We use HTTP-only cookies to manage your login session. These cookies store encrypted authentication tokens — they are not accessible by JavaScript and cannot be read by third-party scripts. We use a short-lived access token (15 minutes) and a longer-lived refresh token (7 days). These are the only cookies we set. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • PayPal — for payment processing. When you make a purchase, your payment details are handled directly by PayPal under their Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare R2 — for secure file storage (product assets, avatars, banners).
  • Roblox Public API — used only when you choose to link your Roblox account, to verify your username and fetch your public avatar.

6. Public Information

Your username, display name, bio, avatar, public store pages, and linked Roblox username (if verified) are visible to all visitors of the Platform. Do not include information in your public profile that you wish to keep private.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are kept for a minimum of 7 years for legal and accounting compliance. Roblox link/unlink audit records are retained indefinitely for security purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us — note that transaction records required by law cannot be deleted.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTP-only authentication cookies, HTTPS-only communication, and server-side payment verification. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@techaeros.com.

9. Children's Privacy

TechAeros is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; withdraw consent; or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@techaeros.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
